Shit happens, and regularly so. And more often than not one attempts to avoid it. But this is not always possible, not if some rabbit brained fool persists in his or her attempts to piss you off big-time.
Oh, we all remember the instance of Oetzi, who was reposing there in the ice, for thousands of years, until some idiot came along to disturb him. Ok, one can argue that such happened by chance, but more often than not such disturbance of one’s peace of mind is caused by some persistent dickhead who is plain onnery; who wants to prove his or her worth at the cost of your sanity.
Like the members who persist with their worthless contributions, their flooding of the Purplebeest with inconsequalities, all in order to supposedly prove that they are worthy of our attention! When we do not reply, they become progressively persistent, just like the Rabbit of long ago, in the Uncle Remus folk tale. Yes, the rabbit has persisted in his attempts to hound the fox, until Mr Fox, one day decided he had enough….
The fox made himself a baby out of tar and turpentine, adorned her head with a straw hat, then lay her down in the middle of the road. Wasn’t long before the rabbit ambled along, spotted the “victim,” and struck up a conversation with her. Of course she did not reply! Brer Rabbit was livid, and said: “If you don’t take off that hat and say howdy, I’m going to bust you wide open” The Tar-Baby kept her peace.
Brer Rabbit now socked the Tar-Baby one on the jaw, but once his fist stuck, he could not pull loose. “If you do not let go, I’m going to hit you again,” which he did, and his other fist was stuck! “Turn me loose, before I kick the stuffing out of you,” which he proceeded to do, and both his feet were stuck! Once more Brer Rabbit threatened, and then head-butted the Tar-Baby. Of course his head was now equally stuck!
And from behind a bush the jackal now appeared, and grabbed him by the scruff of the neck. Which serves to prove that one must not force oneself on to those that repose here, enjoying the ambience of a well written piece. For you never know what trap the old crone of a moderator might be setting for you! Yes, it is best to behave, and let the other members be.
